University of Washington, Chair of Ed/Psych Dept, Virginia Berninger, 1998, observed my classroom and analyzed test results before describing my reading program in her book, Brain Literacy for Educators and Psychologists, as "a proven method for teaching English as a Second Language and special education students—all the necessary components for beginning reading." She included mention of my self-published book and contact information.

University of Florida Literacy Institute (UFLI), 1999, referenced Berninger’s book in phone conversation with me before purchasing my book. In 2020 UFLI responded to a local school district request for assistance during Covid-19 disruption by providing a phonics program. The results surprised them, leading to their UFLI Foundations manual in 2022, with nearly identical wordlists and methods used in Scientific Phonics. The UFLI manual is also published in Canada and Australia.
